Hard Candy

It's official, I am obsessed with the Hard Candy makeup line. Especially their lip products! And this is coming from a girl who doesn't even bother putting on chapstick, much less lip gloss or lipstick. I mean, I have about a trillion lip products, but I just always either forget to put them on, or I put them on and don't like the texture, or I put them on and actually LIKE them, but it wears off in two seconds and I forget to reapply.

My favorite product right now is the Hard Candy Visibly Wet Lip Pencil. Right now I have it in Cupcake, Must Have, and Beauty.

Beauty, Must Have, Cupcake

Cupcake, Must Have, Beauty

I really like it because it's got that lip balm feel, the color of a sheer lipstick, and it's fun to apply! (Yay for pencils!) The only problem is it doesn't stay on for too long. :( But I actually remember to reapply this stuff, maybe because it's in pencil form and that's just really cool to me? Idk. Anywho, I just LOVE this stuff, it's the only lip stuff I will use at the moment.

Swagggggggggggggg

Chyeah new eyeshadow palette yum! Didn't want to post it on the same yucky review for the brushes in case they got contaminated! Anyways, it's the BH Cosmetics 120 color palette, and I think it is the 1st edition? Probably. Anyways, besides the fact that the brushes I used to apply it totally sucked (see below), the colors are very vibrant, don't crease, and stay for quite a while.

Sad Face :(

 :(

So, my eye shadows came in the mail the other day, and I also got a Shany 15pc. brush set and all I can say is SUPER DISAPPOINTING!

The eye shadow palette, I LOVE IT, but the brush set had the quality of a dollar store item, if that. Except for what I am assuming are two blush/bronzer brushes, all of the brushes heads' are really slick and plastic-y, like that of a lipstick brush. All. Of. Them. It is impossible to get the eyeshadow to stick to the brush when it is so slick it just falls off. There is no fluffy quality. Even my cheap E.L.F brushes are better quality than that!

Anyhoozle, I'm going to see what I can do about returning these brushes and in the meantime I'll be doing a bit of research on better (but still cheap!) brushes.

Essie Nailpolish

"buy me a cameo" is a pretty nice, neutral pink by Essie. It's kind of a champagne-y rose color. Neutral enough, but not too boring. Unfortunately, it was very streaky for me, on both my fingernails and toenails. Maybe it was because I didn't shake it enough, or maybe it was the contrast of the shimmer and the lightness of the shade, but it just ended up looking very, very streaky!
Overall though, I'd say it was very easy to apply, the brush wasn't too thick or too thin, it took only two coats, and so far (2 days in) I have no chips to speak of!
I'd give it 3 stars, out of five. If it weren't for the streaks it would have four, but alas... you can't always get what you want. Another thing was price. Sure, Essie isn't up there in price with Chanel nail polishes, but when you can get the same results from a 99 cent drugstore nail polish, it seems a little expensive.

UPDATE: I've tried several other shimmery Essie nail polishes, and they all seem to be streaky! The shimmer in them leaves shimmery little streaks following the brush pattern! So sad :( the colors are so pretty in the bottle but it just ends up looking like a streaky mess when you apply it! Any one else have this problem with shimmery Essie polishes? Or am I a little too OCD?

What shampoo is right for ME?

I never buy the same shampoo more than once. My entire life I have flip-flopped around from volumizing this or luminizing that. Fruity Smoothie Sniffer and Moisturizing Morning Miracle were great and all, but I couldn't help but wonder if there was something that would work best on my hair type.

Total Beauty.com, I have to hand it to you! Accurate and descriptive answers to all my hairy questions (ha ha)! Take the quiz yourself to find out the best shampoo and conditioner for your hair!

Correction!

Oh no! I made a mistake! It's not Aussie Instant Freeze, it's Aussie Ausome Volume! Sorry guys!

Shout out to the best hairspray ever!

Yum! This hairspray, Aussie Instant Freeze, is not only great quality but it smells sooooooo good! Sweet and almost fruity with none of the alcohol-y weird hairspray smell that most hairsprays give.
I use it after straightening my hair to tame flyaways and keep my hair from falling flat. I have thick and poofy hair, but for some reason only at the bottom, so to get volume at the top and smoothness on the bottom I use this method of straightening:

1. Brush hair out and flip upside down
2. Straighten your hair as much as possible upside down, and don't worry about the parts the straightener won't reach.
3. Flip hair back up, and brush out again. Part hair where you normally part it, and now finish straightening. Focus on the hair near your roots, and the hair on the back of your head. Run the straightener through your ends one last time, and brush again.
4. Spray hair starting at the roots while pulling hair up and away from head. Let hairspray dry fully, then brush hair towards the back of your head. Let it fall naturally.
5. For extra volume, wrap hair in loose bun and pin at the crown of your head while doing makeup and getting dressed, then let down just before you walk out of the door.

From fragrance to accessories to glamorous makeup, all of your Hello Kitty needs can be met, by simply walking into your nearest Sephora. Actually, don't walk--run! Here are a few of my favorites from this collection. And maybe a few critiques? But you know how hard it is to critisize cute lil' kitties....

Musk, Vanilla, Green Apple, Floral. Works together perfectly, and creates a sweet and innocent, pretty and floral scent. Moderately priced at only $55 for 1.7oz. A for awesome!

Big Smile Lip Gloss. Meh. Much too sticky for my taste. Pretty color but not worth the sticky residue that lasts for hours after the pink sheen wears off. I'll give it a B-...
Nail stickers! Yay! These may be my favorite thing from the collection! Cute and pretty, sassy and silly, these nail stickers add some serious punch to normal nails. Try any of your normal nail polishes that you've been bored with lately, and then add stickers! Toes, fingers, other peoples' toes and fingers, everybody needs these stickers! A+!!!
Hello Kitty Brush Set. I'm just going to tell you now I give this one an A++! Soft brush, pink tipped bristles, and several different styles for every makeup necessity.
