Anastasia Brow Kit Review

This Anastasia Beverly Hills 5 Element Brow Kit is a great tool kit for beginners. I never really do anything with my eyebrows, and happened to try out the kit at the makeup counter in Dillard's one day and was shocked by what a difference it makes!

I've always just made sure my eyebrows were kept tweezed and well groomed and left it at that, but this kit leaves you with a really nice polished look.
One of the main reasons I never really messed around with my eyebrows is because whenever I tried, I always felt like the brow shadow/liner/whatever left my eyebrows too dark and overstated. The shadow in this kit is just the perfect shade, with a darker tint to the right and a lighter tint to the left. I've used both on my brows and they each work just fine. I use the darker one with more dramatic makeup, and the lighter one for my everyday look. The stencils are really what make the huge difference. Try it out at your local department store, I know you'll love it!

Hard Candy

It's official, I am obsessed with the Hard Candy makeup line. Especially their lip products! And this is coming from a girl who doesn't even bother putting on chapstick, much less lip gloss or lipstick. I mean, I have about a trillion lip products, but I just always either forget to put them on, or I put them on and don't like the texture, or I put them on and actually LIKE them, but it wears off in two seconds and I forget to reapply.

My favorite product right now is the Hard Candy Visibly Wet Lip Pencil. Right now I have it in Cupcake, Must Have, and Beauty.

Beauty, Must Have, Cupcake

Cupcake, Must Have, Beauty

I really like it because it's got that lip balm feel, the color of a sheer lipstick, and it's fun to apply! (Yay for pencils!) The only problem is it doesn't stay on for too long. :( But I actually remember to reapply this stuff, maybe because it's in pencil form and that's just really cool to me? Idk. Anywho, I just LOVE this stuff, it's the only lip stuff I will use at the moment.

Swagggggggggggggg

Chyeah new eyeshadow palette yum! Didn't want to post it on the same yucky review for the brushes in case they got contaminated! Anyways, it's the BH Cosmetics 120 color palette, and I think it is the 1st edition? Probably. Anyways, besides the fact that the brushes I used to apply it totally sucked (see below), the colors are very vibrant, don't crease, and stay for quite a while.

Sad Face :(

 :(

So, my eye shadows came in the mail the other day, and I also got a Shany 15pc. brush set and all I can say is SUPER DISAPPOINTING!

The eye shadow palette, I LOVE IT, but the brush set had the quality of a dollar store item, if that. Except for what I am assuming are two blush/bronzer brushes, all of the brushes heads' are really slick and plastic-y, like that of a lipstick brush. All. Of. Them. It is impossible to get the eyeshadow to stick to the brush when it is so slick it just falls off. There is no fluffy quality. Even my cheap E.L.F brushes are better quality than that!

Anyhoozle, I'm going to see what I can do about returning these brushes and in the meantime I'll be doing a bit of research on better (but still cheap!) brushes.

Essie Nailpolish

"buy me a cameo" is a pretty nice, neutral pink by Essie. It's kind of a champagne-y rose color. Neutral enough, but not too boring. Unfortunately, it was very streaky for me, on both my fingernails and toenails. Maybe it was because I didn't shake it enough, or maybe it was the contrast of the shimmer and the lightness of the shade, but it just ended up looking very, very streaky!
Overall though, I'd say it was very easy to apply, the brush wasn't too thick or too thin, it took only two coats, and so far (2 days in) I have no chips to speak of!
I'd give it 3 stars, out of five. If it weren't for the streaks it would have four, but alas... you can't always get what you want. Another thing was price. Sure, Essie isn't up there in price with Chanel nail polishes, but when you can get the same results from a 99 cent drugstore nail polish, it seems a little expensive.

UPDATE: I've tried several other shimmery Essie nail polishes, and they all seem to be streaky! The shimmer in them leaves shimmery little streaks following the brush pattern! So sad :( the colors are so pretty in the bottle but it just ends up looking like a streaky mess when you apply it! Any one else have this problem with shimmery Essie polishes? Or am I a little too OCD?

What shampoo is right for ME?

I never buy the same shampoo more than once. My entire life I have flip-flopped around from volumizing this or luminizing that. Fruity Smoothie Sniffer and Moisturizing Morning Miracle were great and all, but I couldn't help but wonder if there was something that would work best on my hair type.

Total Beauty.com, I have to hand it to you! Accurate and descriptive answers to all my hairy questions (ha ha)! Take the quiz yourself to find out the best shampoo and conditioner for your hair!

Correction!

Oh no! I made a mistake! It's not Aussie Instant Freeze, it's Aussie Ausome Volume! Sorry guys!
